Making memory care safer
Ambient Intelligence Inc. is a Minneapolis-based medical technology company building continuous, dignified monitoring for long-term care.
Mission
Make memory care safer without compromising resident dignity
Long-term care residents, especially those with dementia, are among the most vulnerable people in our healthcare system. They fall. Their condition changes. Their pain goes unnoticed. And the staff responsible for them are chronically understaffed.
We believe technology can change this. Not cameras. Not wearables. Not more paperwork. A system that watches silently, thinks carefully, and tells the right person exactly what they need to know.
Founding story
Ambient Intelligence started with a problem the people closest to memory care kept describing the same way. The staff caring for residents with dementia are chronically understaffed. The residents are continuously observed by no one. And the technology built to help has consistently been either invasive (cameras), unreliable (wearables), or another layer of paperwork.
The insight was simple. Memory care needs continuous, accurate, dignified observation. Not surveillance. Not gadgets. A system that watches the way a thoughtful caregiver would, knows what matters, and tells the right person at the right time.
We started building in Minneapolis. The first pilot is at Mount Olivet Careview Home, where 36 ceiling-mounted radar sensors continuously monitor 36 residents across three care zones. The University of Minnesota partners with us on the clinical research. The system goes live in 2026.
Team
The people building this
A small Minneapolis team with clinical, hardware, and software depth. Partnered with the University of Minnesota for research, Mount Olivet Careview Home for the pilot, and the NIH STTR program for cybersecurity.
Founder
Brian Bradley
Engineer-founder building Ambient Intelligence end to end. Background spans firmware, cloud infrastructure, and clinical product. Based in Minneapolis.
